Louise’s Patient Story: Single Tooth Implant Treatment
Louise tells of her experience having single-tooth implant treatment at The Implant Centre, her phobia of dentists and how the option of having sedation during treatment was a huge relief for her.

I've been lucky enough to have just come back from a long trip travelling for several months. I had an amazing time. I did think to myself that I was in quite a remote part of the world during some of that trip. I thought how awful it would have been if I'd lost my tooth.
Well, I was told by the dentist that at some point my tooth would completely fail and fall out. I'd been to my dentist several times, Jenny at East Mews in Horsham, and she gave me all the different options of having either a bridge or a denture, but then she mentioned implants.
I think, like many people, I've got a big phobia of the dentist, which probably stems back to my childhood. And the thought of having to have this procedure was terrifying, and I wasn't looking forward to it. Having spoken to everybody at The Implant Center, they did reassure me, however, they also said there was the option of having it done under sedation. I thought, that's got to be the way for me, and it was the best decision because I don't remember anything about the procedure at all. I remember lying down in the chair and then I was leaving the surgery, that was it. And that's how I wanted to remember it.
I couldn't believe how accurately they got the colour match. I thought, you know it'll be similar, but I'll still be able to tell it's a false tooth, but I can't. And no one's even noticed it, so it shows how good it is. I look after it, but I forget it's there and it's just one of my teeth now.
Every time I went to The Implant Center, I just felt like they were looking after me. I'm pleased that I made that choice. I recommend them to my friends and family.
