Matthew is an accredited specialist in the fields of Prosthodontics and Oral Surgery, who is both a Fellow (FDS) and a Member (MRD) of the Royal College of Surgeons. He graduated from Guy’s Hospital (BDS), with distinction, in 1992 and served as a House Officer in Oral Medicine and Immunology at the same hospital. Two and a half years were then spent at various Oral Surgery departments around the South East, honing his diagnostic and surgical skills.

From 1996 to 1999, Matthew worked in both NHS and private general dental practice. Following his time in practice, he embarked on a three-year Prosthodontic Masters postgraduate programme at the Eastman Dental Institute (MClinDent Pros). It was while studying there that his enthusiasm for the management of Prosthodontic problems was born, along with an appreciation of how beneficial dental implant treatment could be to his patients. The planning and placement of dental implants played a large role in this three-year training programme.

In 2002, Matthew completed his postgraduate degree with distinction and then spent four years at a practice in the West End of London, during which time he was also part-time clinical supervisor in the Prosthodontic Department of the Eastman Dental Institute. In 2007, Matthew moved with his growing family from London to Sussex. Matthew appreciates just how good the results can be when the right team is all working under ‘one roof’. “With The Implant Centre’s team of highly-trained dental surgeons, patients benefit from carefully planned, sympathetically provided, predictable dental implant treatment of the very highest quality.”

Matthew is a father of four children, none of whom have the slightest interest in dentistry. As a keen cyclist, when not at work, Matthew enjoys pedalling his way around the hills of Sussex and Kent.
