Tony qualified from Guy’s Hospital in 1988. He has been restoring implants for the last thirteen years and has worked in private practice for twenty years. He is the lead clinician at a large surgery in Sevenoaks, where he carries out general dental treatments.
Tony’s particular interest lies with the final cosmetic result being as natural and believable as possible, combining implant-supported crowns with crown and bridgework to achieve the best cosmetic result possible. Tony has worked closely with his technician for the last ten years and has also been his dentist (as well as for other members of staff within the practice) for the same period.
Tony says, “The cosmetic aspect is by far the most important to the patient. We involve the patient in the cosmetic process and forward as many photographs as possible to the technician – making the final result as natural as possible means that my work doesn’t get noticed!”
Tony has been a practice auditor and previous Chairman of the British Dental Association in Tunbridge Wells. He keeps up-to-date with continuing professional development via courses and internet, and journal-based learning programmes.
Tony has three children, has run two London Marathons (PB 3hrs 28m), and still refuses to stop playing rugby.
