Sally qualified at Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in 2004 and, since her first implant restorative case in 2005, has developed a passion for implant dentistry that is still going strong. Sally subsequently passed her MJDF examinations in 2008 and successfully completed her Certificate in Surgical and Restorative Implantology at the Eastman in London in 2011.
Sally is also involved in mentoring new graduate dentists in general practice and has done this for the last four years. She ensures she keeps up to date with all new dental knowledge, procedures and materials.
Sally says, “I am passionate about implant dentistry – I love the predictability, reliability and ultimately, the fact that implants can achieve outcomes for patients that no other area of dentistry can. I thrive on the team approach that is fundamental to implant dentistry, with the patient as the most important person in the process, coupled with working with the implant surgeon and laboratory technician to achieve the patient’s desired outcome, and meet their expectations. Being a Virgo I strive for perfection which can only be of benefit in this exciting, progressive field that is implant dentistry.”
Sally is able to put patients at ease and explain each step of the procedure to the patient, and she endeavours to make the restorative phase of the implant treatment as pleasant as possible for her patients. The main focus is always the patient and she listens and actively involves the patient in the treatment
to ensure a successful outcome.
In her spare time, Sally enjoys running and this year completed the London Marathon for the Tanzanian dental charity Bridge2Aid.
